Guest Lecture on Constitution & Preamble
An informative and interactive session conducted under the MSBTE K Scheme — Essence of Indian Constitution, focusing on constitutional values, democratic principles, fundamental rights and responsible citizenship.
The Electronics Department of M.M. Polytechnic, Thergaon, Pune organized a guest lecture on Indian Constitution and Preamble on 25 July 2026 for Second Year Electronics students under the MSBTE K Scheme course Essence of Indian Constitution. The session was designed to create awareness about the Constitution, constitutional values and the responsibilities of citizens in a democratic nation.

About the Lecture
The guest lecture focused on the importance of the Indian Constitution and the Preamble and was organized as a part of the MSBTE K Scheme — Essence of Indian Constitution course. The session aimed to help students understand the importance of constitutional values and their role as responsible citizens.
Adv. Shraddha Prakash Jadhav explained the historical background of the Indian Constitution, the formation of the Constituent Assembly and the significant contribution of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar as Chairman of the Drafting Committee.
The speaker explained the meaning and importance of the key terms in the Preamble: Sovereign, Socialist, Secular, Democratic and Republic. Special emphasis was placed on the constitutional ideals of Justice, Liberty, Equality and Fraternity and their importance in maintaining democracy, social harmony and national unity.
Students were also introduced to important features of the Indian Constitution, including Fundamental Rights, Fundamental Duties, Directive Principles of State Policy, the Parliamentary System, Federal Structure, Independent Judiciary and Universal Adult Franchise.
Real-life examples were used to demonstrate how constitutional values can be applied in everyday life. The lecture concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session during which students actively participated and clarified their doubts.
