The Electronics Department of Marathwada Mitra Mandal’s Polytechnic organized an educational visit to the institute’s Centre of Excellence on 07 August 2026 for 40 students of Second Year Diploma Electronics – SY/EX3K. The visit was designed to bridge the gap between classroom concepts and practical applications in the rapidly developing field of Electric Vehicle technology.

Bridging Classroom Learning with EV Technology

The visit enabled students to observe actual Electric Vehicle systems and understand how electronics, electrical engineering and mechanical systems work together in a modern EV. Students were encouraged to observe the components closely and interact with experts to understand their practical operation.

From Components to Complete EV Systems

Students were introduced to an EV car and an EV two-wheeler and were guided through their major electrical, electronic and mechanical components, giving them a practical understanding of real-world EV architecture.

The role of the motor controller in controlling the operation and performance of the electric motor was demonstrated.

Charging ports, connectors, wiring and charging-related systems were explained through practical examples.

DC–DC Converter

Students learned about the purpose of DC–DC conversion within an Electric Vehicle electrical system.

Anti-lock Braking System and braking technologies used for vehicle safety were discussed.

The concept of regenerative braking and recovery of energy during vehicle deceleration was explained.

Electronics in Electric Vehicles

The visit demonstrated how electronics concepts such as sensors, controllers, power electronics, battery monitoring, displays, communication systems and electrical safety are integrated into modern Electric Vehicles.

Students were encouraged to explore EV technology as an emerging field for projects, innovation, skill development, higher education and future career opportunities.
