Workshop Objective
The Computer Engineering Department organized a 3 Days Machine Learning Workshop to provide students with practical exposure to Machine Learning concepts and real-world applications.
The main objective of the workshop was to equip students with fundamental and advanced Machine Learning skills, enabling them to build intelligent systems, analyze data efficiently, and develop industry-relevant solutions.
Day 1 (20th February 2026): Introduction to Machine Learning
- Introduction to Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence
- Types of Machine Learning: Supervised, Unsupervised, Reinforcement Learning
- Real-world applications of Machine Learning
- Introduction to Python libraries used in ML
- Hands-on: Implementing basic ML algorithms
Day 2 (21st February 2026): Supervised Learning
- Data preprocessing and feature selection
- Regression and Classification algorithms
- Model training and evaluation techniques
- Hands-on: Building predictive models using datasets
Day 3 (22nd February 2026): Unsupervised Learning
- Clustering techniques
- Model evaluation approaches
- Hands-on: Implementing clustering models on datasets
Workshop Outcome
A total of 44 students benefited from this technical workshop. The program concluded with students presenting their Machine Learning assignments, followed by an interactive feedback session.
The workshop received highly positive feedback for its practical approach, detailed explanations, and hands-on guidance. It significantly enhanced students’ technical expertise and prepared them for industry-oriented Machine Learning applications and future career opportunities.
